Puka Nacua's Status for Monday's Game Uncertain After Family Member Retracts Social Media Comments
A social media post from a family member suggesting Los Angeles Rams star Puka Nacua would play against the Giants has been walked back.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is currently listed as questionable for the team's Monday night game against the New York Giants due to a knee issue that emerged during practice this week.
Adding to the uncertainty, a social media comment from Ivie Gonsalves, the girlfriend of Nacua's brother Samson, initially suggested the star receiver would indeed play. Gonsalves, whose boyfriend Samson is a former NFL player, posted a TikTok video on Friday. When a fan asked if Puka would be playing on Monday, Gonsalves responded affirmatively, stating, "yeah, that man’s playing." She further confirmed with a subsequent reply of "promise" when questioned about the certainty of her statement.
However, Gonsalves has since deleted her initial responses and altered the caption of her TikTok video. As of Sunday, the caption reads, "DISCLAIMER: i don’t know s*** about puka playing. i have zero information on that. do not base your fantasy teams or s*** off my page. also don’t ask." This retraction aims to clarify that she has no inside information regarding Nacua's playing status.
Rams fans and fantasy football participants will have to await the official game status update on Monday to determine if Nacua will be active against the Giants.
