Puka Nacua's Injury Status Uncertain Ahead of Monday Night Football
The star wide receiver was a full participant Thursday but missed Friday's practice with a hip issue.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua's availability for Monday night's game against the New York Giants is in question after he was listed as a non-participant in Friday's practice due to a hip injury. This development comes as a surprise, as Nacua had fully participated in practice on Thursday.
The sudden emergence of the hip injury on the official injury report is particularly noteworthy because there had been no prior indication of a problem. Nacua was scheduled to speak with reporters after Friday's practice session. However, he was absent from the field, and the Rams subsequently released their injury report listing him with the hip issue.
The Rams have not provided additional details regarding the specific nature of the injury or when it occurred. Questions have arisen about whether this injury might be connected to a previous psoas, core, or lower back issue Nacua experienced during joint practice with the Cowboys, or if it is an entirely new ailment.
Nacua missed a significant portion of the preseason while managing groin and psoas injuries, both related to his lower back and core. The psoas muscle connects the lower spine to the hip and femur, making the "hip" designation on Friday a point of interest, although no direct link between the injuries has been indicated.
For the time being, the Rams are hoping Friday's absence was a precautionary measure. Nacua recorded five receptions for 74 yards in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia.
Adding to the Rams' concerns, Nacua's listed backup, Jordan Whittington, also missed Friday's practice with a quadriceps injury.
The team benefits from an extended break due to the Monday night kickoff, but the sudden uncertainty surrounding two key receiving options presents a challenge. Further information is anticipated on Saturday, prior to the 5:15 p.m. kickoff against the Giants.
