Hallie Aiono, the mother of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua's son, Kingston, has revealed the profound emotional distress she experienced over the past year, including suicidal thoughts. Aiono shared her story in a July 12 TikTok post, detailing how public commentary from a podcast amplified her personal struggles during a vulnerable period.
Aiono referenced a July 2025 episode of "The Pivot" podcast, hosted by Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder, and Fred Taylor. She stated that the hosts discussed her and Nacua's paternity situation in a manner she found "disgusting and viral," painting her negatively and joking about her perceived uncertainty regarding the child's father. "They talked about me as if they knew me… And a year later, I am still healing from it," Aiono said.
She explicitly denied any infidelity, stating, "I never cheated [on Nacua]. I never questioned who the father was." Aiono recounted that during her pregnancy, while attempting to prepare for her son's arrival, she felt targeted by the podcast's discussion. "While I was trying to figure out how I was going to bring my son into the world, three grown men decided to use my life as entertainment, and post about me on their podcast," she stated.
The situation was exacerbated by what Aiono described as a lack of necessary support. "What they didn’t know and what the world didn’t know… I wasn’t receiving the financial, emotional, physical support that I needed," she explained. She expressed that the public discussion amplified rumors and headlines, which was difficult to endure while pregnant and feeling alone.
"To be so honest, I am surprised that I am even here. I did not want to live anymore," Aiono admitted, describing the impact of watching the podcasters use their platforms to discuss her situation so negatively. The confirmation of the child's paternity by Nacua has since occurred. Aiono's openness about this period aims to address the lasting impact of public discourse on personal lives. The notes indicate that her mention of lacking financial support is likely to draw further attention.
