Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua posted a birthday tribute to his ex-girlfriend, Hallie Aiono, the mother of his son, Kingston. The Instagram story post on Monday night showed Nacua, Aiono, and their son on the Rams’ practice field, with Nacua captioning it, “Happy birthday to Kingstons mom. Thank you for everything you have sacrificed and done for our son.”

Aiono gained significant attention last month after a TikTok video resurfaced in which she alleged experiencing “extreme betrayal, abuse, complete neglect” from a former partner, stating it occurred “almost overnight” after four years of deep love. The video was later deleted.

This public acknowledgement comes as Nacua faces a separate legal issue. He is awaiting a verdict in a lawsuit filed by Madison Atiabi, who accused him of biting her on the shoulder on New Year’s Eve. The lawsuit includes allegations of assault, battery, gender violence, and negligence.

Reports have indicated that a suspension for Nacua is unlikely before the Rams’ upcoming game in Australia against the San Francisco 49ers. The relationship between Nacua and Aiono reportedly had difficulties, including Nacua requesting a paternity test for their son.

Nacua's recent social media post appears to represent a de-escalation in the public narrative surrounding his personal life.
