Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has changed agencies as he approaches the final year of his rookie contract and seeks an extension with the team. Nacua announced Wednesday that he has hired Win Sports Group to represent him.

"I changed agencies, and I think it was something for me, looking at the offseason, and where I feel like I’ve been at in this past year. Just trying to reset, and be able to refocus and reprioritize some of the things that I feel like are best for me," Nacua told reporters, per The California Post’s Michael Duarte. "And I’m just grateful to feel like I have a team supporting me in all facets."

Nacua is entering the final season of his four-year, $4.08 million rookie deal. While he is eligible for a contract extension this offseason, there have been no public indications that an agreement is close.

Win Sports Group has recently negotiated significant deals for other wide receivers. Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks, also represented by the agency, signed a four-year, $168.6 million contract with $120 million guaranteed. Additionally, Zay Flowers of the Baltimore Ravens, also a Win Sports Group client, recently secured a four-year, $140 million deal that includes $108 million guaranteed.

Given Nacua's production and draft class proximity to Smith-Njigba, his new agents may target a similar contract value. Nacua's decision to switch representation could signal a renewed push to finalize a long-term agreement with the Rams.
