A Venice Beach psychic shop has ignited controversy with an advertisement proposing spirit readings that allow customers to "chat" with U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell.

The Original Venice Beach Psychic, located on the Venice Beach Boardwalk, is distributing flyers and posting on social media with the offer: "Enjoy a 20 minute chat with Mitch McConnell."

Flyers suggest potential customers with questions for the Republican senator can "hop on down" to the shop for a spirit reading. The business operates two storefronts on the boardwalk and a third location on Lincoln Boulevard.

The promotion has drawn sharp criticism online. One social media user commented, "As much as I disagree with practically everything he has done, I don’t wish that upon him."

The attention on the psychic shop comes as McConnell has not made a public appearance since being hospitalized on June 14 following a fall. He is expected to retire at the end of his current term in January 2027.

While McConnell posted a photo with his wife on July 12, questions about his health and capacity to continue in his role as Senate Minority Leader have persisted. A psychic listed at the business, Bianca Marino, states she specializes in matters of love, marriage, happiness, and success and describes herself as clairvoyant. She also advertises tarot card, crystal, and palm readings for parties, with prices starting at $200.
