A protester interrupted Vice President JD Vance during his speech at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas, leading Vance to go off-script. The man, dressed in a purple shirt, unfurled what Vance identified as a Mexican flag.
Some attendees initially mistook the flag for a Palestinian flag, with shouts of “F— Palestine” heard from the crowd. Security removed the man from the venue.
"Well, my friend, if you love Mexico so much, get your ass over there," Vance stated as the protester was being escorted away. He later commented on the incident, calling the waving of a Mexican flag a "symbol of the far-left" and suggesting the protester should have displayed an American flag.
