Pro Wrestler Fired by TNA After Referencing Deadly Saudi Airport Attack

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) has severed ties with wrestler Max Caster following insensitive comments made during his entrance at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view event. Caster referenced a deadly attack at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during his match against Moose.

The lyric in question stated, "…And it’s the firing squad. I drop bombs. You don’t even have to fly to Riyadh." The attack on the Saudi airport, which left more than a dozen dead, was claimed by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis.

Following the live broadcast, Caster received significant backlash on social media for his remarks. In response, TNA issued a statement on Monday announcing his termination and condemning the comments.

"During Sunday’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view, insensitive comments were made by Max Caster referencing attacks in Riyadh that killed and injured many people," the company stated. "Making light of violent attacks is wrong. This should never have made it into the show, and that responsibility is ours. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and everyone affected. We sincerely apologize."

TNA confirmed that it has removed the segment from all replays and its social media channels. The company also stated that it is taking steps to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future and that Max Caster will no longer be performing for TNA.
