A private jet skidded off the end of a runway during takeoff at Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport on Sunday, striking a perimeter fence, officials reported.
No injuries were sustained in the 11 a.m. incident, according to airport spokesperson Monika Bertaki. The cause of the Dassault Falcon 50 jet veering off the runway was not immediately disclosed.
Following the mishap, two runways were temporarily closed for inspection. The Federal Aviation Administration also implemented a temporary pause on planned flights into the airport, leading to delays for travelers. As of August, Harry Reid International Airport had recorded over 370,000 operations and more than 34 million passengers in 2026.
