Navarone Garibaldi, son of Priscilla Presley, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to finance a new business venture, aiming to raise $5,500 for an industrial pizza oven. The 39-year-old entrepreneur has publicly defended his decision to use crowdfunding, responding to critics who suggested he should ask his mother for financial backing. Priscilla Presley has an estimated net worth of $10 million.
Garibaldi stated on social media that he has significant personal expenses and a budget, explaining that he is not asking for money from those who cannot afford it. He clarified that he is offering free pizza to donors and is personally investing $3,000 towards the oven, which he negotiated down to $8,500 from $14,000. His GoFundMe has raised $3,718 towards its goal.
He explained to his nearly 50,000 followers that he donates to homelessness and other causes, and that he must be strategic with his ideas to avoid financial hardship. Garibaldi also noted that his pizza dough and sauces are already sourced, with the oven being the primary remaining necessity to launch his 'affordable organic pizza' business. Recent donations to the campaign have ranged from $13 to $1,000.
Garibaldi's father is screenwriter Marco Garibaldi. Priscilla Presley was also mother to the late Lisa Marie Presley, who passed away in 2023. She shared Lisa Marie with Elvis Presley, and Lisa Marie left behind daughters Harper and Finley Lockwood, and Riley Keough. Lisa Marie's son, Benjamin Keough, died in 2020. Both Priscilla Presley and Navarone Garibaldi have publicly memorialized Benjamin Keough.
Representatives for Priscilla Presley were contacted for comment but had not yet responded at the time of reporting.
