Priscilla Presley Appears in Germany with Son Amid Family Grief Discussions

Priscilla Presley, 81, made a rare public appearance alongside her son, Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, 39, as she arrived in Baesweiler, Germany, on Tuesday.

Presley is in Germany for a scheduled talk-show event as part of her "An Evening with Priscilla Presley" tour. The show features conversations about her personal memories, career insights, and reflections on her life with and after Elvis Presley. Garcia, a musician and lead singer of the band Them Guns, is the son of Presley's former long-term partner Marco Garibaldi.

This marks one of Presley's few public appearances in recent months. Her last major public event was a lifestyle event in Mallorca in July, preceded by a visit to the Elvis Memphis Museum in Denmark in March.

Presley and Elvis Presley were married in Las Vegas in 1967 and divorced in 1973. They had one daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, born in 1968, who passed away in January 2023 at the age of 54 from a small bowel obstruction.

In May, Priscilla Presley spoke about the impact of Lisa Marie's death on the family during a speaking event with her son. She described how the family used to gather for meals but that Lisa Marie's passing created a division. "When you would think that would be something that should bring everybody together, that somehow separated us further, because everybody grieves in different ways," she stated.

Navarone Garcia offered a different perspective, suggesting that while the death of his sister Lisa Marie initially caused division, the family is now growing closer. He specifically mentioned the earlier death of his sister's son, Benjamin Keough, in July 2020, as a significant event that initially fractured the family's dynamic. "Now, after my sister died, I feel like now we're actually coming closer together, and I feel like we're all letting go of those feelings," Garcia said.

Lisa Marie Presley left behind two daughters, Harper and Finley Lockwood, 18, and a daughter Riley Keough, 37. Priscilla Presley noted that her granddaughters lead independent lives.

Despite a famously complex relationship, Priscilla Presley and Lisa Marie were together days before Lisa Marie's death, attending the Golden Globes to support Austin Butler's portrayal of Elvis in the 2022 biographical drama "Elvis."
