Catherine, the Princess of Wales, made a special appearance at the Wimbledon Championships on Thursday, opting to break tradition by watching matches from the outside courts rather than the exclusive Royal Box. The princess, 44, was seen chatting with the public and handing out grounds passes to fans who had queued overnight.
Catherine wore an elegant blue linen suit for the occasion, complemented by a white top and Ralph Lauren sunglasses. Her hair was styled in a ponytail, and she accessorized with drop earrings featuring a royal-blue gemstone. She was observed watching a women's singles match alongside former British number one Tim Henman.
The star-studded event also saw singer Ellie Goulding, 39, attending with her boyfriend Beau Minniear, 29. Goulding, who recently welcomed her second child, daughter Iris, in March, opted for a stylish black and white polka dot minidress. She was seen in the Royal Box, enjoying a day out after discussing her return to work and her upcoming album.
Goulding's new album, set for release in September, is described as her most honest yet and will cover the breakdown of her marriage. She recently performed a new song and spoke about feeling more equipped to navigate the music industry after her second child, contrasting with her experience after her first.
Other notable attendees included Joe Jonas, who attended with his mother, Denise. Jonas wore a striped shirt over a white tank top and black trousers, while his mother sported a white polka dot halterneck dress. Actor Stanley Tucci was also present, dressed in a navy pin-striped suit. Comedian Chris Rock was seen in one of the Wimbledon Suites, and singer Cliff Richard was noted for his red velour suit. Mo Gilligan was seen in a linen suit, and Dermot Kennedy opted for blue linen trousers with a brown blazer. Traitors star Stephen Libby also made an appearance.
Princess Diana's nieces, Lady Amelia Spencer and Lady Eliza Spencer, also attended with Lady Amelia's husband, Greg Mallett. Celebrity chef Marcus Wareing was also spotted in the Royal Box.
The day's play on Centre Court included the men's singles match between America's Zachary Svajda and Poland's K. Majchrzak.
