Princess Kate's Mulberry Handbags Drive Sales Surge

Mulberry handbags are experiencing a notable resurgence, with sales increasing by 18% over the past six months. This trend is partly attributed to the repeated sightings of Catherine, Princess of Wales, carrying the brand's accessories.

Recently, the Princess was seen with the Mulberry Amberley Satchel during a visit to Belfast, a bag she had previously carried during a royal tour in Boston in 2022. Her collection also includes the Amberley Satchel in white, which she wore to Wimbledon, and a bright pink hobo bag seen during a night out in 2008. Her preference spans from chain crossbody bags to larger tote styles.

Other members of the royal family have also been seen with Mulberry bags. Zara Tindall was photographed with the Amberley clutch at Royal Ascot in 2025 and 2026.

The brand's sales have seen a global uplift, with handbag sales rising by 28% internationally in the last six months. In the UK alone, sales increased by 10%, with the new Stevie bag contributing to this growth.

In one notable recent appearance, the Princess paired the green leather Mulberry Amberley Satchel with an Emilia Wickstead pleated, tartan maxi skirt and a ruffled silk blouse during her visit to Belfast. The bag's color was seen as a subtle nod to Ireland. For a royal visit to Pontypridd in South Wales in 2025, she carried Mulberry's Bayswater Tote, complementing a red Alexander McQueen coat and Gianvito Rossi boots.

Earlier this year, the Princess also opted for a classic black accessory, carrying Mulberry's Small Amberley Crossbody bag to welcome the President of Bola to the UK. This bag was paired with a Tolu Coker double-breasted blazer coat, a Jane Taylor hat, and teardrop earrings, which were noted as a tribute to her late mother-in-law, Diana. The accompanying Boss shoes have since been discontinued.
