Princess Eugenie has announced the name of her newborn daughter: Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank. The baby, born earlier this month, is the second child of Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
Princess Eugenie shared the news on Instagram, stating that the names were chosen in honor of people she and her husband "love and admire, past and present." The announcement was accompanied by a photograph of the newborn. The couple previously announced they were expecting in May.
The baby is 15th in line to the British throne. Her birth moves her great-uncle, the Duke of Edinburgh, to 16th place. The child will not hold the title HRH (Her Royal Highness).
The Royal Family's official Instagram account posted a message of goodwill following the announcement. Princess Eugenie and Mr. Brooksbank reside in Portugal and have a residence at Kensington Palace.
