Princess and Junior Andre Face Strain in Celebrity Race Across The World Trailer
The first trailer for the new series of BBC's Celebrity Race Across The World reveals the challenges faced by Princess and Junior Andre as they embark on a 7,500km journey.
The first trailer for the upcoming series of Celebrity Race Across The World has been released, featuring Princess and Junior Andre as they navigate the challenges of the competition.
The show's fourth season will send duos on an extensive 7,500km (4,660 miles) route, beginning in Kuching, Malaysia, and concluding in Melbourne, Australia.
Joining Princess and Junior Andre in the new series are singer-songwriter Ella Eyre and her childhood friend Nana, broadcaster Jeff Stelling and his son Matt, and musician Sam Ryder with his best friend and tour manager Kaz.
The trailer shows the celebrity pairs starting their journey with limited resources, including a basic guide and a restricted budget. Footage suggests that Princess and Junior Andre experience moments of stress, with Junior Andre appearing visibly strained on a bus.
Despite the challenges, the pair are seen enjoying the scenery, including a moment where they jump off a cliff into the water together. The journey will take contestants through jungles, across continents, and rely on local transport and the kindness of strangers, with a daily budget of £26 per person.
Princess confirmed her participation in the show on social media earlier this month, posting a picture with her brother and expressing their excitement for the announcement.
The celebrities are required to leave behind their phones, credit cards, and other familiar comforts for the duration of the trip. The route starts in Kuching, Borneo, and involves traversing jungles and reaching five checkpoints across three countries and two continents before arriving in Melbourne.
Tim Harcourt, Chief Creative Officer at Studio Lambert, commented that this year's journey highlights "two extremes of today's world" and that the show will capture the contestants' unfiltered reactions to demanding and joyful experiences. Jasmyn McGuile, Commissioning Editor for BBC Factual Entertainment and Events, noted that the inclusion of Australia and the Bornean rainforest as starting points marks a new direction for the series.
Previous winners of Celebrity Race Across The World include Alex Beresford and Noel Beresford, Scott Mills and Sam Vaughan, and Roman Kemp and Harleymoon Kemp.
The new series is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, October 28. Race Across The World will return to BBC One and iPlayer in the spring.
