Princess and Junior Andre Among Celebrities Joining Race Across the World

Princess and Junior Andre, children of Peter Andre and Katie Price, will embark on an adventure for the upcoming series of Celebrity Race Across the World. They are joined by sports broadcaster Jeff Stelling and his son Matt, singer Ella Eyre with her childhood friend Nana, and singer Sam Ryder with his best friend and tour manager Kaz.

The celebrities will travel from Borneo across Southeast Asia, aiming to be the first to reach Melbourne, Australia. The journey covers approximately 7,500 kilometers (4,660 miles) and will involve traversing jungles and crossing multiple checkpoints across three countries and two continents. The show challenges contestants to rely on local transport and the kindness of strangers, with a budget of £26 per person per day, and without their phones or credit cards.

This season marks a new starting point in Kuching, Sarawak, in Northwest Borneo, and a first for the series to reach Australia. Tim Harcourt, Chief Creative Officer at Studio Lambert, stated that the journey will "lay bare two extremes of today's world" and that viewers can expect "unfiltered and honest reactions" from the contestants.

Jasmyn McGuile, Commissioning Editor for BBC Factual Entertainment and Events, expressed excitement about bringing the race to Australia for the first time and noted the adventurous start in Borneo's rainforest. Previous winners of the show include Alex Beresford and Noel Beresford, Scott Mills and Sam Vaughan, and Roman Kemp and Harleymoon Kemp.

The new series is scheduled to air this autumn, with the main Race Across the World series set to return to BBC One and iPlayer in the spring. The show aims to test the celebrities' resourcefulness, potentially leading to heightened emotions and transformed relationships throughout the demanding adventure.
