Prince William Teases Actor Ross Kemp About 'The Traitors' at Charity Event

Prince William playfully engaged with actor Ross Kemp about his role in the reality show "The Celebrity Traitors" during a charity event in Somerset. The Prince of Wales teased Kemp, known for his tough-guy roles, by mimicking the show's "murder" mechanic, lightly tapping him on the shoulder in a manner reminiscent of contestants being eliminated. This occurred as the two men joined forces to unveil emergency flood kits for the town of Ilminster.

The kits are part of the National Emergencies Trust's "Ready Together" initiative, for which Prince William serves as Royal patron and Kemp as an ambassador. The initiative aims to prepare communities for potential winter flooding.

Kemp, who is participating in the current series of "The Traitors," expressed delight that the Prince and Princess of Wales are fans of the program. He remarked on the show's popularity, noting an unusual level of interest even from his local garage attendant. Kemp described his experience on the show as more stressful than some of his survival documentary filming, adding, "You need to be paranoid in an emergency; it means you are ready for what's coming."

During the event, Prince William also met with members of the Ilminster Under 16s football club to discuss community preparedness for potential flooding from the River Isle.

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace stated that the "Ready Together" initiative aims to bridge the gap between people's willingness to help and their communities' preparedness by developing practical plans.

This public engagement follows a recent anecdote shared by the Princess of Wales. During a visit to an elderly lunch group, Kate revealed that she enjoys doing the washing up while Prince William dries, describing them as a "good double act" who also involve their children in household chores.
