Prince Harry has returned to the United Kingdom "just as angry" as he was when he left six years ago, according to friends. The Duke of Sussex, 41, who recently relocated to England with his wife Meghan, 45, and their two children, is reportedly "spitting blood" at certain members of the Royal Family and "expects an apology."

The couple stepped down as working royals in 2020, a move often referred to as 'Megxit,' and subsequently moved to the United States. Their relationships with senior royals were further strained by revelations in Harry's memoir, "Spare," and television interviews.

Sources suggest that friends who have met with Harry since his return to the UK were surprised by his continued anger and frustration, noting that his mindset has not changed since 2020. He reportedly remains "frustrated by the 'men in grey suits' who surround his father" and "still expects an apology."

Harry has previously accused royal aides of attempting to sabotage his reconciliation with King Charles, drawing parallels to his mother Princess Diana's experiences with royal courtiers.

"Friends who have spoken to him since he returned to the UK were surprised to discover that the record has not changed one bit since 2020 and Megxit. It's shocking and quite sad," a source told The Mail on Sunday. Harry himself stated in a 2023 interview, "What I'd really like is some accountability. And an apology to my wife."

It is understood that the Sussexes are awaiting a new assessment of their security needs, having lost their automatic entitlement to armed police protection after ceasing to be working royals. Harry's security advisor, David Langdown, is believed to have assembled a team of British security staff.

Potential Appearance at Diana Award

The Duchess of Sussex may join Prince Harry at a high-profile fundraiser for The Diana Award, a charity established in honor of his late mother, Princess Diana. Harry is expected to attend the awards ceremony on September 18, and Meghan is reportedly considering attending as well. Such an appearance would symbolically connect Meghan to Princess Diana's legacy.

The Diana Award, which recognizes young people making a difference, represents one of the few remaining formal charitable links between Harry and his brother, Prince William. However, a source suggested that Meghan's attendance could cause tension at Kensington Palace.

"It will make a lot of people at Kensington Palace uneasy if she is in attendance," the source said. "Instead of returning to Britain solely as Harry's wife and the mother of his children, she would be appearing alongside him at an event tied directly to the memory of Diana."

A spokesperson for The Diana Award stated that the organization is in the early stages of considering how to mark the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana's death next year and that no specific plans or attendance decisions have been made.

The couple, who have homes in Montecito and Portugal, recently flew into the UK on a private jet. Reports also indicate they have enlisted the help of hedge-fund billionaire Ian Wace for their move back to Britain, with whom they stayed on his private Scottish island during a recent holiday.
