While no official project has been confirmed, a source indicated to The Telegraph that Harry is still considering the most fitting way to honor his mother's legacy during this significant anniversary year and has explored various potential projects beyond a film. If a documentary were to proceed, it would likely be produced by Archewell Productions, the company founded by Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, and potentially acquired by Netflix, given their existing multi-year deal with the streaming service.
This development follows earlier reports from the Daily Mail suggesting Harry's intentions to create a film focused on Diana. That report also claimed the potential movie was a factor in his return to the UK in August. Richard Kay, a Senior Editor-at-Large for the Daily Mail, alleged that the Duke of Sussex has been contacting individuals who knew his mother to seek their contributions.
