Prince Harry Expresses Desire for Reconciliation with Prince William

Prince Harry has stated his desire to reconcile with his brother, Prince William, but suggested that external forces are hindering the process. "I want it to work out. Of course I do," Harry said in a recent interview with GQ. "With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile. That’s the key point."

Harry, 42, acknowledged that he grieves the estrangement from his older sibling. He likened the situation to common family disagreements that many people experience, making it a relatable issue. "There’s siblings disagreements. Broken relationships between kids and their parents. That continues to come with me the whole time with people I speak to," he explained. "So I know how relatable it is. That’s probably why there’s so much fascination."

The author of "Spare" encouraged individuals to move past past grievances to heal rifts within families. "Scars stick around forever. But what your perception is, and what your mindset is to those things that have happened, letting go of the past. That’s something that I would encourage everybody to do," Harry stated. "If there’s certain things from the past that are still affecting you every day, that’s harder to let go of."

He further commented on the complexity of such situations, adding, "But, for me, there’s enough drama in the world and enough drama in people’s lives to continue with issues with family." When the interviewer suggested that family fallouts are "not worth it," Harry responded, "That’s hard to say to people when you’re in it."

The rift between Harry and William, along with Harry's sister-in-law Kate Middleton, has been prominent since Harry's memoir "Spare" and his Netflix documentary series detailed the royal family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their two children, relocated back to the UK in August.
