Prince Harry and six other defendants, including musicians Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley, have been ordered by a U.K. court to make an initial payment of nearly $13 million to Associated Newspapers Limited, the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday. The order comes after the group lost their High Court privacy case against the publisher in July.

The defendants had accused Associated Newspapers Limited of unlawful information gathering. The High Court ruled against them in July, leading to this financial order. The total amount owed may be subject to further determination.
