Prince Harry may have a future in British television, according to producer Richard Osman, who has proposed a new show concept for the Duke of Sussex. This comes as reports indicate that Meghan Markle's potential role in Guy Ritchie's Netflix series "The Gentlemen" has been withdrawn.

Osman, who has a two-decade career as an executive producer and creative director at Endemol UK, where he developed shows like "Pointless," suggested that Harry could carve out a media career by appearing on television periodically. "I think you could build a fairly nice media career for Harry where he just appears on television every now and again and is very happy doing that," Osman said on the podcast "The Rest is Entertainment."

He suggested that Harry might be well-suited for comedy entertainment programs such as "The Wheel" with Michael McIntyre. Osman also revealed he has developed a show concept titled "Harry's Special Forces." This program would blend elements of "DIY SOS" and "Challenge Anneka," featuring a group of army veterans rebuilding something in a community while also highlighting their skills for potential employers.

Osman believes there is still an audience for both Harry and Meghan in the UK, noting that a significant portion of the public has yet to form a strong opinion. "8% of people have a definite opinion on Harry and Meghan already, right? One way or the other. 4% one way, 4% the other way. You've still got 92% of people who are like, 'oh, yeah, well, if he's doing something interesting, I'll watch it if she's in something,'" he stated.

Meanwhile, reports emerged over the weekend that Meghan Markle had been offered a role in the third season of "The Gentlemen." However, royal author Tina Brown indicated that this offer was subsequently withdrawn due to an intense backlash in Britain. "I learned that the casting of Meghan Markle has been withdrawn. The backlash was so intense it became untenable to go forward," Brown wrote in her Substack newsletter.

Osman has an impressive TV pedigree, with a twenty year career behind the scenes as an executive producer and creative director at Endemol UK and has some advice for Harry

Meghan, who previously stated she had no plans to return to acting after her role in the series "Suits," has been reportedly looking towards a screen comeback. Commentators have suggested that any acting role for Meghan and a return to the spotlight could present challenges for the Sussexes and the Royal Family. However, Osman countered that Meghan should pursue acting if that is her strength. "Do your acting. I really, really think if you're something, just do that. Do the thing that you're good at," he advised.

Before her marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan had a seven-season run on "Suits" and reportedly earned approximately $40,000 per episode. She has a small cameo in the upcoming film "Close Personal Friends." A role in Ritchie's "The Gentlemen" would have marked a more substantial return to acting.

Last week it was revealed that Meghan and Harry intended to move from the US to Britain with their children Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five
