The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are reported to have visited the remote Scottish island of Tanera Mor during their week-long trip to Britain last month. The 800-acre island, located in the Inner Hebrides, is said to have inspired the cult British horror film "The Wicker Man."

Prince Harry, Markle, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, are believed to have stayed on the island for two days. During their visit, they reportedly enjoyed a boat trip around the island's coastline aboard Rita, a vintage Clyde puffer. The island is owned by hedge-fund tycoon Ian Wace, who purchased it nine years ago for £1.7 million and has since invested up to £100 million in its development.

Wace, who is said to be worth around £600 million, has transformed the island into a private retreat for up to 60 guests. His efforts include planting 100,000 trees, restoring properties, and reviving traditional skills. He also reportedly maintains a high level of privacy for his guests, with staff being temporarily removed from the island before celebrity visitors arrive.

The Sussexes are thought to have arrived on Tanera Mor on July 8, the day after Prince Harry's High Court privacy case against a newspaper publisher. They are believed to have stayed in one of the island's private areas, such as the North or South Ends, where renovated croft cottages offer a secluded experience.

Despite the measures taken to ensure privacy, a photograph posted by Markle on her personal Instagram account, titled "Summer Holiday," may have inadvertently revealed their location. One particular image, a moody shot of hills and water, was identified by The Mail on Sunday as being taken near Loch Droma, approximately 25 miles from Tanera Mor.

Locals in the nearest mainland village, Achiltibuie, have commented on the island's use by high-profile guests. They noted that workers are often sent away when important visitors are expected to maintain privacy. There have been past rumors of Prince Harry, and even his brother Prince William, visiting the island.
