The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to return to the United Kingdom later this month, more than six years after relocating to the United States, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The couple intends to reside in a non-royal property outside of London and have already enrolled their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in British schools.
It is understood that Harry and Meghan's status as private individuals and non-working members of the royal family will remain unchanged. King Charles III was reportedly informed of the move on Sunday, three days before it was made public, and is said to welcome the opportunity to spend more time with his family.
The couple will not be offered a compromise role, meaning their status will continue as private citizens outside of official royal duties. The report also noted a Daily Mail poll asking readers if they were pleased about the couple's return to Britain.
