Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning a return to the United Kingdom for an extended period, according to reports.

The couple, who stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and moved to California, are slated to arrive in the UK later this month. Sources have indicated that their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will be enrolled in a school in the country.

The palace has been made aware of the move, and King Charles was informed on Sunday, The Sun reported.

During their time in Britain, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will reside in a non-royal residence and will not be engaged in official royal duties. They intend to continue with their business ventures while in the UK.

In January 2020, Harry and Markle announced their decision to transition away from senior royal roles, stating their intention to become financially independent while still supporting Queen Elizabeth II, the now-deceased monarch. At the time, they indicated a desire to balance their time between the United Kingdom and North America and to continue honoring their duties to the Royal Family.
