Prince George, 12, joined his mother, Kate Middleton, for a rare joint public appearance to honor Britain's Armed Forces Day. The pair visited the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at the Royal Air Force Coningsby base.

A video shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales' Instagram account showed George and Middleton taking turns sitting in the cockpit of various aircraft. The post was captioned, "Honouring Service and Sacrifice."

"Learning about the extraordinary history of these aircraft and meeting the pilots and engineers who keep their legacy alive," the caption continued. "A powerful reminder of the courage, skill and dedication of those who serve, past and present. Thank you to all those who have served and continue to serve."

Prince George, who will turn 13 next month, is preparing to attend Eton College in September, following in the footsteps of his father, Prince William. William attended the prestigious boarding school from 1995 to 2000, and Prince Harry from 1998 to 2003. Eton College, founded in 1440, is the largest boarding school in England and has educated numerous notable alumni, including 20 British Prime Ministers.

Prior to this, George attended Lambrook School in Ascot with his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
