Prince Andrew received as much as £2,000 per month from sub-letting a property, according to a report by a UK watchdog. The income was reportedly paid directly to the former prince, rather than to the Crown Estate, which was his landlord for the property.
The BBC reported on the findings, which detail a financial arrangement where income generated from sub-letting was channeled to Prince Andrew. The Crown Estate, a commercial real estate business owned by the reigning monarch, held the lease for the property in question.
