Presley Gerber, Son of Cindy Crawford, Dies at 27 of Suspected Overdose

Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died on Sunday in a rehab facility from a suspected overdose, according to reports.
Nicola Peltz, a close friend of Gerber's, paid tribute to him on social media, calling him "pure light in this world" with the "kindest heart." She expressed her devastation, stating, "I feel so lucky to have had him in my life. I will never forget his kindness and how he always showed up for his friends."
Brooklyn Beckham, Peltz's husband and Gerber's friend, also shared his grief, writing, "I am so heartbroken. Presley you were the kindest and we are going to miss you so much x we love you."
A spokesperson for the Santa Monica Police Department confirmed that officers responded to a report of a possible overdose on September 20, 2026, at approximately 9:35 a.m. They located a deceased adult male. Detectives are investigating the death as a suspected overdose, with no indication of foul play at this time. The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
Gerber had been open about his ongoing struggles with drugs, panic attacks, and mental health, detailing his experiences on social media. Earlier this year, he shared his participation in an ibogaine treatment program at a clinic in Cancun, Mexico. Ibogaine, derived from an African shrub, is reported to aid withdrawal symptoms and is used in some specialized clinics, though it is a Schedule I controlled substance in the U.S.
In a post about his treatment, Gerber described being "terrified" but also finding his way back to himself. His parents and sister, model Kaia Gerber, praised his courage at the time. His mother, Cindy Crawford, commented, "You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!" while Kaia added, "That's my brother I am so damn proud." Rande Gerber wrote, "I'm so proud of you and your courage. Facing what's hard takes real strength and watching you find your way back to yourself is everything. I love you so much."
