Presley Gerber, Son of Cindy Crawford, Dies at 27

Presley Gerber, son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27. His death was confirmed on Sunday, and a spokesperson for the Santa Monica Police Department stated that officers responded to a report of a possible overdose on September 20, 2026.

Nicola Peltz, a friend of Gerber, paid tribute to him, describing him as "pure light" with the "kindest heart." She added, "I feel so lucky to have had him in my life. I will never forget his kindness and how he always showed up for his friends. My deepest condolences go out to his family. We miss you and we love you so much Presley, we're heartbroken."

Peltz's husband also shared a tribute on social media, writing, "I am so heartbroken. Presley you were the kindest and we are going to miss you so much x we love you."

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the deceased as Presley Gerber. He died at a rehab facility, marking a difficult end to a struggle with drugs, panic attacks, and mental health that he had increasingly shared on social media. While the Medical Examiner has not yet determined the official cause of death, authorities are investigating the incident as a suspected overdose, with no current indication of foul play.

Earlier this year, Gerber had posted about undergoing a "Pre-ibogaine flood dose" at a treatment clinic in Mexico. Ibogaine, derived from an African shrub, is reported to aid in withdrawal symptoms and is used in specialized clinics in Mexico, although it is classified as a Schedule I controlled substance in the U.S.

His parents and sister, model Kaia Gerber, had previously praised his "courage" for sharing his treatment journey. Crawford commented, "You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!" while Kaia added, "That's my brother I am so damn proud." Rande Gerber expressed his pride in his son's "courage" and his journey of "finding your way back to yourself."
