Presley Gerber, Son of Cindy Crawford, Dies at 27

Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, died on Sunday at a rehab facility. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed his death. An autopsy has not yet been performed.

Last month, his sister, model Kaia Gerber, spoke about the impact of Presley's struggles with drug use and mental health on their family. In a cover story for Vogue, she described how such issues can affect everyone involved.

"When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone," Kaia Gerber told Vogue, referring to her brother's challenges. She added that his difficulties made her want to be the "easy" child, explaining, "I think that's also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing."

Last December, Presley Gerber had opened up about his personal life in a social media video. He detailed taking medications for night terrors and panic attacks, including Buprenorphine, which is used to treat pain and opioid use disorders. He also mentioned fluctuations in his use of benzodiazepines, which are prescribed for anxiety and related mental health conditions. Gerber attributed his current state to experiencing significant loss.

He shared that he took Xanax for panic attacks and Valium, admitting uncertainty about the exact dosage. He expressed hope that research and other resources would help him manage his condition. Kaia Gerber described her brother's candor as "refreshing," noting that while her parents had historically been very private, Presley chose to be open about his experiences.

In May, Presley Gerber posted a tribute to his father on Instagram, expressing gratitude for his unwavering support and advice. Rande Gerber responded to the post, writing, "I am honored [to] take this ride called life with you over and over any time. Sometimes we may fall but with a little help always get back up. I love you forever Prez."
