Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died on September 20 at the age of 27. His death occurred while he was staying at a rehabilitation facility, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. The cause of death has not yet been released.
"The family is in total shock right now. They are saddened beyond words," a source told People magazine. "Kaia [Gerber] loved that Presley was so open about his struggles; his family was so proud that he was finding strength in helping others."
A representative for the family stated, "The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time."
The Gerber-Crawford family has long been a subject of public interest due to their connections to the fashion, entertainment, business, and celebrity worlds. Cindy Crawford rose to prominence in the 1980s, becoming one of the most recognizable supermodels globally. She graced hundreds of magazine covers and worked with numerous designers.
