Presley Gerber's Final Moments Captured in Rehab Video Before Apparent Overdose
A video exclusively obtained by Page Six shows Presley Gerber filming himself inside the Santa Monica rehab facility where he later died at age 27.
A video obtained by Page Six provides a glimpse into the final hours of Presley Gerber's life, showing the 27-year-old model inside the Resolutions Living rehab facility in Santa Monica, California, just before his apparent overdose death on September 20.
In the footage, Gerber is seen filming himself while wearing a white tank top, a silver chain, and black eyeglasses. His distinctive neck tattoos are also visible. The video pans to show the interior of his living quarters, which featured multiple beds and a balcony with views of the property and the city skyline. Sources confirm to Page Six that the video was recorded on the evening before his death.
The luxurious rehab facility, reportedly costing $7.7 million, offers amenities such as spacious living areas, a movie theater, a gym, city and mountain views, and chef-prepared meals. The facility's website describes a "three-phase recovery program" that includes "goal-setting activities, volunteer work and character-building exercises."
Presley Gerber, the son of Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford, had checked into the facility the same weekend he died. Dispatch audio obtained by Page Six indicated that authorities responded to a call of "cardiac arrest" and "overdose." An insider previously told Page Six that Gerber "seemed off" and "didn’t seem like himself" in the days leading up to his death.
Following the news of his death, a representative for the Gerber family requested privacy, stating, "We are asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time."
Presley Gerber had publicly struggled with opioid addiction and was arrested for a DUI in 2018. His sister, Kaia Gerber, is reportedly struggling to cope with his loss, with a source describing their bond as exceptionally close, akin to "best friends."
Cindy Crawford is said to be "devastated" and "inconsolable" over the death of her only son, with whom she shared a very close relationship. The family is reportedly finding it emotionally difficult to plan a memorial service, prioritizing privacy for the event.
An official cause of death has not yet been released. Presley Gerber was cremated, and his family plans to keep his ashes at their Malibu home.
