Presley Gerber's Ex-Girlfriend Lexi Wood Pays Tribute Following Suspected Overdose Death

Influencer and former reality star Lexi Wood, who was romantically linked to Presley Gerber in 2022, has paid tribute to the late model following his suspected overdose death. Wood took to Instagram to share throwback photos and a video from their time together, reflecting on their years of friendship and love.

"It’s hard to put into words what it means to lose someone who was such a meaningful part of my life for so many years," Wood wrote in a lengthy caption. "Through every chapter and every version of our relationship, friendship was always at the core of it."

Wood described Gerber, the only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, as one of the "kindest, most open, loving and courageous people." She added that he "fought so hard for his life and he was brave enough to be open about that fight," and that he "wanted to use his story to help other people."

Presley Gerber died at a rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles. His death is being investigated as a suspected overdose, though authorities have stated there is no indication of foul play. The Santa Monica Police Department confirmed that officers responded to a report of a possible overdose on September 20, 2026, and that Gerber was pronounced dead at the scene.

This tribute follows a similar one from another ex-girlfriend, Canadian model Charlotte D'Alessio, who dated Gerber for approximately two years starting in 2018. D'Alessio shared intimate photos and wrote about their "pure love," expressing anger and sadness over his death.

Gerber had been open about his decade-long struggle with drug addiction, panic attacks, and mental health issues. Earlier in 2026, he documented undergoing a "Pre-ibogaine flood dose" treatment at a clinic in Mexico, a process involving a high dose of ibogaine intended to help with withdrawal symptoms and induce a reset.

His parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, and his sister Kaia Gerber, had publicly praised his courage for seeking treatment. Gerber had previously spoken about the challenges of managing his mental health, including experiencing severe panic attacks and navigating various medications. He had also expressed a desire for his experiences to help others facing similar battles.

Gerber began modeling at age 15 and appeared in campaigns for brands like Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein. His death at 27 comes after a period of significant public openness about his struggles, and his family has requested privacy during this difficult time.
