Presley Gerber's Ex-Girlfriend Isabella Jones Mourns His Death

Presley Gerber, son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, was remembered by his ex-girlfriend Isabella Jones in an Instagram post shared on Friday. This comes less than a month after Gerber died on September 20 at age 27 from a suspected drug overdose. Jones, also 27, posted a collection of intimate photos with Gerber, writing in the caption, "My sweet Presley, I will miss you for the rest of my life."

One image showed Gerber, who had followed in his mother's modeling footsteps, smiling while driving a car. Another snapshot depicted the couple looking into each other's eyes as Jones touched his face. The comments section on Jones's tribute post was disabled. The pair were last seen together two years ago at a launch party in Los Angeles.

Cindy Crawford had previously praised her son as a "warrior" months before his death. In March, Crawford, her daughter Kaia Gerber, and husband Rande Gerber rallied around Presley after he posted about undergoing Ibogaine treatment in Mexico. Ibogaine, a substance derived from an African shrub, is reported to help with withdrawal symptoms and brain pathway reset. Following Presley's post about his experience, his family left supportive comments. Crawford wrote, "You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!" Kaia added, "That's my brother. I am so damn proud." Rande Gerber commented, "I'm so proud of you and your courage. Facing what's hard takes real strength and watching you find your way back to yourself is everything. I love you so much."

Presley himself wrote in his post about the Ibogaine treatment, "Pre Ibogaine Flood Dose - quiet moment before everything changed. i was absolutely terrified, and I knew I would be again if I ever had to face something like this... My mantras were love yourself and lis gotta be the last time for this reason. letting go of control didn’t come easy, but I trusted there was something bigger than me guiding it... I faced what I had been running from, and somewhere in all of it, i started finding my way back to myself…. We shall see…. Praying it’s the last time I have to come back."

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's office stated that Presley died at a rehab facility, according to TMZ. His official cause of death has not yet been publicly released.

In August, Kaia Gerber spoke to Vogue about how Presley's struggles with drug use and mental health had impacted their family, saying, "When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone."

A representative for Cindy Crawford told the Daily Mail that the family is requesting privacy during this "very difficult and painful time."

Presley Gerber began his modeling career at age 15, appearing in campaigns for brands such as Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein. He had spoken about his mental health struggles from a young age and was arrested for driving under the influence in 2019. In November of the previous year, he announced he was stepping back from social media to focus on his mental health. A month later, he shared a video detailing medications he was taking for "night terrors" and "panic attacks."

Another ex-girlfriend, model Charlotte D'Alessio, also paid tribute to Presley shortly after his death. She shared photos and video clips from their time together, captioning a carousel post, "♥️ rest easy king. Love you so much Pres. connected for life. I’ll talk to you soon." D'Alessio and Gerber reportedly dated for about two years starting in 2018. She had previously posted another emotional tribute, writing, "Shared a pure love with you & for that I thank & honor your life. You deserved more time. You deserved more life. Very angry ab this."
