Presley Gerber Had 24/7 Sober Coach Before Death
The model, who died at age 27, had a sober coach present in his life for the months leading up to his passing.
Presley Gerber had a 24/7 sober coach who supported him in the months preceding his death, TMZ reported.
The coach was described as being "very present" in Gerber's life and frequently traveled with him.
It remains unclear if the sober coach was with Gerber when he died Sunday at the Resolutions Living rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, California. He was 27 years old.
Gerber had checked into the facility the same weekend he was pronounced dead. Reports indicated that he was under the influence of a substance upon his admission.
TMZ also reported that Gerber had been prescribed ketamine by a doctor, despite having a documented history of issues with the drug.
According to 911 audio obtained by Page Six, Gerber experienced cardiac arrest and was being treated for a suspected overdose. An official cause of death has not yet been released.
Gerber, the only son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, had previously spoken publicly about his struggles with substance abuse and mental health. In November of the previous year, he announced a hiatus from social media to focus on his mental well-being, stating he needed to "step back and take care of my own mental health for a bit."
He had also initiated a "Mental Health Mondays" movement on his social media platforms, aiming to encourage open discussions about mental health challenges.
