Presidential pets have long captured the affection of Americans, a sentiment that is now being put to a public vote. The DC Insider has launched a poll inviting the public to select their favorite presidential pet.
Throughout history, various dogs have resided at the White House, becoming familiar figures to the public. Among them are Barack Obama's Portuguese Water Dogs, Sunny and Bo, and Bill Clinton's Chocolate Labrador, Buddy. George W. Bush's Scottish Terrier, Barney, also resided at the executive residence.
These animals have often provided a rare source of bipartisan enjoyment for those living and working at the White House. The poll also notes the recent fate of Joe Biden's German Shepherd, Major, who has been absent from the nation's capital for an extended period.
The results of the DC Insider poll are set to be revealed in a future edition of the publication's newsletter.
