Two individuals have won the top prize of £1 million in the July 2026 Premium Bonds draw. The winning bond holders are located in Reading and Warwickshire.
The Reading winner holds £49,931 in Premium Bonds and purchased their winning bond in July 2015. The Warwickshire winner holds £14,000 in Premium Bonds and purchased theirs in January 2014.
In addition to the two £1 million prizes, other prizes awarded range from £25 to £100,000. A prize of £100,000 was awarded to a winner in South Yorkshire who held £10,000 in Premium Bonds, and another £100,000 prize went to a winner in South Gloucestershire with £7,200 in bonds.
Other prizes of £100,000 were awarded to winners in Wirral (£20,000 bond holding), Hertfordshire (£30,000 bond holding), and Northumberland (£20,000 bond holding). A £100,000 prize was also awarded to someone in Somerset who held £25,000 in Premium Bonds.
Premium Bonds are a savings product offered by NS&I that award prizes but do not pay interest. Each pound invested equals one Premium Bond, with each bond having an equal chance of winning. The current prize rate is equivalent to 3.8 percent.
Winners are selected monthly using ERNIE, the Electronic Random Number Indicator Equipment. Prizes are published on the first of every month, or the next working day if it falls on a weekend or bank holiday. NS&I provides a prize checker tool for bond holders to see if they have won.
Premium Bonds can be purchased online from NS&I with a minimum investment of £25, and the maximum holding allowed is £50,000. Investors can cash in all or part of their bonds at any time online or by contacting NS&I directly.
