Redditch powerlifter Lhamo Weston has won multiple medals, including world silver, while managing the pain and challenges of endometriosis. Weston, who trains at Elite Fitness gym in Redditch, travels 45 minutes to the gym despite recently moving to Worcester.

Sam Pope, a staff member at Elite Fitness, described Weston as an inspiration. "For other young people of her age, it just shows that actually if you put the effort in, the reward is there," Pope said. He added that the gym considers itself a family and takes pride in housing Weston as a member. "To have her as a role model is very important because it does allow others to think 'I can do this as well,' and I think that's very important not just at our gym but every gym as well."

Weston emphasizes the importance of being open about competing with endometriosis, a condition that affects many individuals and can cause significant pain and other symptoms. Her success highlights the potential for athletes to achieve high levels of performance while managing chronic health conditions.
