James Farthing, who won a $167 million Powerball jackpot last year, was arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of strangulation and domestic violence assault. This marks his fourth arrest since claiming the state's largest-ever Powerball prize in April 2025.

According to an arrest warrant cited by WHAS 11, Farthing allegedly returned home from a boating trip and engaged in an argument with a woman, which escalated to him placing his hands around her neck. The victim reportedly sustained welts on her neck.

Farthing's previous arrests include charges from a hit-and-run incident last November and battery on a law enforcement officer after allegedly kicking a deputy in Florida.
