Powerball Jackpot Reaches $100 Million After Five Weeks Without a Winner
The massive prize is the largest Powerball jackpot in over a year and could result in the third-largest lottery prize in Australian history.
The Powerball jackpot has soared to $100 million, marking the biggest draw in more than a year. This significant increase comes after no ticket holder claimed the top prize for five consecutive weeks.
Up to half of Australian adults were expected to have purchased a ticket for Thursday night's draw. If a single ticket wins the $100 million prize, it would be the equal third-largest lottery prize on record in Australia. This is only the 13th time in the 30-year history of Powerball that the jackpot has reached nine figures.
The winning numbers for Powerball draw 1587 were 14, 24, 15, 3, 27, 32, and 30, with the Powerball number being 16. While this draw has concluded, a previous $100 million Powerball prize from June 2025 remains unclaimed. That winning ticket was purchased at Bondi Junction Newsagency in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
