'Power Rangers' Star Phillip Andrew Undergoes Emergency Surgery for Brain Injury
The actor, known for his role in 'Power Rangers Wild Force,' is recovering after a serious brain injury required immediate medical attention.
Phillip Andrew, an actor best known for his role as the Lunar Wolf Ranger in "Power Rangers Wild Force," has undergone emergency surgery following a serious brain injury. His representative, Christian Ingram of Heroic Talent & Appearances, confirmed the situation in a statement on Instagram.
"Phillip suffered a serious brain injury that required emergency surgery," Ingram stated. "We are grateful to share that Phillip is now awake and showing encouraging signs of improvement."
Ingram cautioned that despite the positive development, Andrew has a significant recovery period ahead. He requested that fans, friends, and colleagues continue to keep Andrew and his family in their thoughts and prayers during this challenging time, also asking for privacy as they focus on his health.
"On behalf of Phillip and his family, we sincerely appreciate the overwhelming love, support, and prayers during this incredibly challenging time," Ingram concluded.
Fellow "Power Rangers" stars have offered their support in the comments of the announcement. Sasha Craig wrote, "Heal up fast, @phillipandrewofficial," while Jessica Rey added, "Praise the Lord 🙏 Praying daily for you, brother."
This news follows an earlier announcement on Instagram that Andrew, 48, would be canceling all upcoming appearances for the foreseeable future due to an unspecified medical condition. At that time, Ingram stated that the actor needed to "focus on his health and recovery."
Andrew played Merrick Baliton, the Lunar Wolf Ranger, in the 2002 season of "Power Rangers Wild Force." In 2025, he launched a YouTube channel called "The Lunar Wolf Den" to discuss "Power Rangers" content, share industry insights, and host guest appearances.
