Popular LA Burger Joint Closed for Rodent Infestation

The Win-Dow, a popular burger chain in Los Angeles, had its Silver Lake location temporarily closed by public health inspectors due to a rodent and vermin infestation. The closure notice was posted on the restaurant's glass door, citing "Rodent Infestation" and "Vermin Infestation."

A handwritten sign, presumably from management, stated the restaurant was "temporarily closed for maintenance," but photos of the official health department notice circulated on Reddit, prompting discussions among locals.

Some commenters suggested the infestation might be linked to the general area, pointing to a nearby dumpster and a neighboring business. Modern Bread & Bagel, located at the same Griffith Park Boulevard address, was also closed by health officials on September 15 for a vermin infestation, according to inspection data. This has led some to speculate that the entire complex may be affected.

The Win-Dow has gained popularity across Los Angeles with multiple locations. However, the Silver Lake outpost has faced criticism from some locals, including backlash last summer when it was reported to have served Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. Some online comments have attributed the current closure to "karma."
