Popstars Reunion Tour Highlights Financial Struggles of Former UK Group Members

Members of the 2000s UK pop groups Hear'Say and Liberty X are set to reunite for a 13-date arena tour, performing together for the first time since their respective formations on the reality television show "Popstars" in 2001.

The tour will feature four original members of Hear'Say – Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, and Noel Sullivan – and the entire original lineup of Liberty X, including Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm, and Kelli Young. Myleene Klass, a member of Hear'Say, will not be participating due to a busy schedule.

While the bands achieved significant success in the early 2000s, financial disclosures from some members reveal a mixed picture of their careers since the groups disbanded.

Noel Sullivan, who initially worked as a waiter before joining Hear'Say, has pursued a career in musical theatre. However, his company, Nojo Ltd, currently shows a debt of £18,505 against assets of £364. He also co-established another performing arts business that was dissolved without filing accounts.

Danny Foster, who trained as a youth worker before "Popstars," has recently launched a performing arts business called Ganga Baba Ltd. He previously attempted a solo career and appeared on "The Voice" in 2013 without success. Foster also founded a meditation and personal development platform.

Suzanne Shaw, who has spoken about her struggles with alcohol and sleeping pills following the "traumatic" split of Hear'Say, has also faced financial difficulties with her businesses. Her fitness consultancy, Muse Sport and Entertainment, has not filed accounts for four years and owes creditors £24,251, although a striking-off action has been suspended. Her performing arts business, Suzi Ltd, is also in debt.

Kym Marsh has maintained a more consistent career, notably securing a long-running role in the British soap opera "Coronation Street." Her private company, PADE (Warrington) Ltd, holds substantial reserves, though a property business she launched was closed without filing accounts.

Myleene Klass, who is not participating in the reunion tour, is described as arguably the most successful member of Hear'Say. She has built a career as a television and radio presenter, with an estimated net worth of around £11 million from her media work and brand endorsements.

Michelle Heaton, a member of Liberty X, has established a performing arts business called Heatonsworld Ltd. She previously dissolved a fitness firm that reported debts. Heaton has remained active in television appearances and performing with former bandmates.

Kevin Simm of Liberty X has spoken about facing financial hardship after the band's split in 2007, working in various trades before winning "The Voice" in 2016. He later joined Wet Wet Wet as their lead singer. His company, Kevin Simm Music Ltd, has modest reserves and significant debt, including a director's loan.

Jessica Taylor, also from Liberty X, has maintained a quieter family life after marrying cricketer Kevin Pietersen. She has set up a performing arts firm, Dylsie Ltd, and also operates a real estate business.

Kelli Young, another Liberty X member, is also reportedly hoping for financial gains from the tour. She has been active with gigs alongside former bandmates and has also pursued a passion for home renovation, managing and advising on building projects.

Tony Lundon of Liberty X has achieved significant success as a film and television producer-director. His production company, The Cell Productions Ltd, appears financially healthy, with substantial equity and cash reserves, and has shown strong profits.

Liberty X collectively established a limited liability partnership, Just A Little Music LLP, in 2012, which was dissolved in 2016 with minimal remaining funds. However, prior accounts indicate they had distributed a considerable sum, likely from their earlier reunion tour in 2013-2014.
