Popstars Reunion Tour Announced for Hear'Say and Liberty X 25 Years After Show's Debut

Twenty-five years after they rose to fame on the TV talent show "Popstars," members of the groups Hear'Say and Liberty X have announced a joint arena tour scheduled for 2027.

The "Popstars: The Originals" tour will feature 13 dates across the UK and Ireland, including stops in Dublin, London, Manchester, and Leeds. Hear'Say will be represented by four original members: Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, and Noel Sullivan. Myleene Klass, who has since become a prominent television and radio presenter, will not participate, citing a busy schedule.

Liberty X will reunite with their complete original lineup: Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm, and Kelli Young. Hear'Say emerged as the winners of "Popstars," while Liberty X were the runners-up.

Myleene Klass, arguably the most commercially successful member of Hear'Say, has carved out a significant career in media. Following the group's split, she released a classical album and has since presented numerous television and radio shows, including "The One Show" and programs on Smooth Radio and Classic FM. She also gained popularity for her appearances on "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" in 2006 and won its all-stars series in 2023. Klass has also been a vocal advocate for miscarriage awareness, campaigning for changes in UK law and receiving an MBE for her services.

Danny Foster, who trained as a youth worker before "Popstars," later appeared on "The Voice" in 2013 without success. He has since embraced meditation and yoga, founding a platform called Love Includes You, which focuses on self-love and personal development.

Suzanne Shaw, a seasoned performer before "Popstars," experienced a difficult period of alcohol and sleeping pill dependency following Hear'Say's dissolution. She continued in musical theatre, appearing in West End productions and UK tours. Shaw has also pursued acting roles and participated in "Dancing On Ice," which she won in 2008. She has two sons and recently became a grandmother.

Noel Sullivan also transitioned to musical theatre after Hear'Say, taking on lead roles in productions such as "Grease" and "School of Rock." He also made a cameo appearance on the BBC series "Gavin and Stacey." Sullivan publicly came out as gay in 2017 and is now married to his husband, James.

Kym Marsh's tenure in Hear'Say was short-lived; she quit the group after feeling betrayed by her bandmates. She later released a solo album and found significant success as an actress, most notably playing Michelle Connor in "Coronation Street" for 13 years. Marsh has also appeared on "Strictly Come Dancing" and presented "Morning Live." Her personal life has included multiple marriages and the tragic loss of a son shortly after birth.

Liberty X, despite being runners-up, achieved considerable chart success with ten consecutive UK top 20 singles. Michelle Heaton has spoken about struggling with fat-shaming and online trolling during the band's peak. She has since participated in various reality television shows, including "Celebrity Big Brother" and "Dancing on Ice," and has been open about her journey with sobriety.

Kelli Young has continued to perform with other Liberty X members and appeared as a panelist on "Loose Women." She is married to musician Iain James, and the couple has twin sons. Young has also developed a passion for home renovation, documenting her projects online.

Jessica Taylor married cricketer Kevin Pietersen in 2007, with whom she has two children. She participated in "Dancing on Ice" in 2009 and has made appearances on other television quiz shows.

Tony Lundon has pursued a career in film and television production, running his own company and assisting other celebrities with their online content. He also had a career in presenting and dance before establishing his production work.

Kevin Simm experienced financial hardship after Liberty X disbanded, working in various trades to support his family before winning "The Voice UK" in 2016. He later joined the band Wet Wet Wet as their lead singer.

Darius Campbell, who auditioned for "Popstars" but did not make it into Hear'Say, went on to achieve success on "Pop Idol," reaching third place and topping the charts with his single "Colourblind." Campbell tragically died in August 2022 at the age of 41 from an accidental overdose of ethyl chloride.
