Swedish singer Zara Larsson, currently on her Midnight Sun Tour, stated that she is not making substantial profits from her touring endeavors. Larsson responded to a fan on TikTok who commented on high ticket resale prices and expressed a wish for artists to advocate for more affordable concert tickets.

"I don't want my tickets to be too pricy and I will definitely see what I can do about that!" Larsson wrote. She further explained that in her current career stage, touring revenue is largely allocated to covering operational costs. "It's basically a non profit at this point :p everything that I make goes to paying people, transportation, production etc.," she stated. Larsson also shared that her tour is nearly sold out, with the exception of the Bangkok show scheduled for November 1.

Resale tickets for Larsson's Bangkok concert have been listed on platforms like Stubhub for prices ranging from $340 to $419 USD. Official ticket prices on Ticketmaster Thailand are between $84 and $117 USD. The average gross monthly income in Thailand is approximately $469 USD. For an upcoming Los Angeles stop in September, resale ticket prices on AXS have ranged from $152 to $893 USD.

Larsson, who gained recognition in the 2010s with hits such as "Lush Life" and "Never Forget You," has previously described the music industry as "brutal." She noted that while careers can be long, periods of lower activity do not necessarily signify failure but can be seasons for rebuilding and learning.

The Midnight Sun Tour, which began in October of the previous year, is scheduled to conclude with the Bangkok performance. Larsson's most recent studio album, "Venus," was released in 2024, and her next album, "Midnight Sun," is slated for September 2025. The title track from her latest LP earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording.
