The British pop group Hear'Say, formed on the reality television show Popstars in 2001, has announced plans for a comeback 25 years after their formation. The group, comprising Danny Foster, Myleene Klass, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, and Noel Sullivan, shared a mock-up of a group chat on social media on Thursday, with Noel Sullivan reportedly asking if it was time to reunite the band. The post invited followers to sign up for an upcoming announcement.

Hear'Say was formed from the winners of ITV's Popstars, a documentary-style series that followed aspiring singers competing to impress judges Nigel Lythgoe, Nicki Chapman, and Paul Adam. Despite achieving chart success, the group disbanded after just 18 months when their second album failed to perform well. The runners-up of the same series, Liberty X, ultimately proved to be more commercially successful.

Myleene Klass, arguably the most successful member of Hear'Say, has since become a prominent figure in UK media. Following the group's split, she released a solo classical album and transitioned into television and radio presenting, hosting shows like Popstar to Operastar and The One Show. Klass also gained a significant following after competing on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, winning the all-stars series in 2023. She currently presents programs on Smooth Radio and Classic FM. In her personal life, Klass has spoken about experiencing infidelity from her first husband and has advocated for changes in UK miscarriage care and bereavement leave laws, for which she was awarded an MBE in the 2025 New Year Honours list. She has recently become engaged to PR executive Simon Motson.

Danny Foster, who previously worked as a youth worker and cleaner, appeared on The Voice in 2013 but did not secure a spot. He went on to tour with his own soul group, the Big Soul Corporation, and later founded 'Love Includes You,' a platform focused on meditation and self-development, inspired by his experiences with monks in India.

Suzanne Shaw's post-Hear'Say career has included roles in West End musicals and a UK tour of Summer Holiday. She welcomed a son, Corey, with actor Darren Day, but the couple separated shortly after his birth. Shaw later won Dancing On Ice in 2008 and appeared in the soap opera Emmerdale. She married DJ Jason King in 2009, but they divorced in 2012. She later had a second son with fiancé Sam Greenfield, though they separated in early 2024. In March, she became a grandmother for the first time.

Noel Sullivan pursued a career in musical theatre after the group's split, taking on roles in productions such as Grease and the West End production of School of Rock. He also made a cameo appearance as himself in the popular BBC sitcom Gavin and Stacey. Sullivan publicly came out in 2017 and is now married to his husband, James.

Kym Marsh had a tumultuous time in Hear'Say, ultimately quitting the group after feeling betrayed by her bandmates. She later released a solo album and transitioned to acting, most notably playing Michelle Connor in Coronation Street for 13 years. Marsh has had several high-profile relationships and marriages. She is currently engaged for the sixth time to Tom Dickinson. Marsh has also spoken candidly about negative experiences during the Popstars filming, including being fat-shamed by judges and radio presenters, which she said affected her body image for years.
