Polo Player Dies After Accident During Match

Tributes have been paid to Harry Revell, a 32-year-old polo player who died following a serious accident during a match. Revell was injured on Friday, September 11, while playing at Cowdray Park Polo Club in Easebourne, West Sussex.

An air ambulance was called to the scene after reports of an accidental injury. Revell was transported to a major trauma center, while two other individuals sustained injuries. One was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and the other was discharged at the scene. Revell later died in the hospital.

Cowdray Park Polo Club described Revell as a "much-loved and respected member of the polo community" and announced that a farewell cup would be held in his honor before the season resumes. Lovelocks Polo Stud, where Revell was a team member, also released a statement expressing sadness and noting his significant contributions, stating, "Harry was a greatly valued part of the Lovelocks Team, and his memory will live on through every horse he rode for us. He will be deeply missed."

A spokesperson for Cowdray Park Polo Club confirmed the club has been in close contact with Revell's family and will continue to offer support. The family reportedly finds some comfort in knowing that Revell was unconscious immediately after the accident and remained peaceful and well-cared for until his passing. The club also expressed gratitude to the medical teams and all involved in Revell's care.
