Police Shelve Investigation into Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan Mansion Burglary

The investigation into the burglary of Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan's Essex home last year has reportedly been shelved by police due to a lack of progress. Four masked raiders broke into the couple's £3.5million mansion on the evening of February 17, 2025, leaving the then-heavily pregnant actress and the former TOWIE star terrified.

Essex police have stated that the case has been filed, with CCTV and forensic evidence failing to identify the suspects, according to The Sun. A spokesperson for Essex police told the publication: "Following a comprehensive investigation into a burglary, this has now been filed. Should any further information be found, further enquiries will be conducted."

There are fears that an international gang may have targeted the property, potentially after spotting it on social media. Mark Wright had extensively documented their home renovations on their Instagram account, Wrightyhome, which has over 645,000 followers.

Following the incident, the couple were said to be "very shaken up." They reportedly heard their window smash and security alarm activate before locking themselves in a bedroom for safety. The publication states that the suspects were in the property for approximately one minute before fleeing when Wright began to yell. Police were alerted via their security system and arrived at the mansion within minutes.

The gang, reportedly wearing balaclavas and dressed in black, fled the scene empty-handed in a getaway car. A source told The Sun at the time that it was a "traumatic experience" but that they were relieved no one was injured. The source added that it was "a horrible thing to go through, particularly for someone who is heavily pregnant."

Weeks after the burglary, the couple welcomed their daughter, Palma.

Detectives reportedly believed the gang were professionals looking for a significant score. A camera allegedly captured the gang arriving at the house, sending alerts to Wright and Keegan's phones. A source indicated that Wright's immediate concern was for his wife's safety.

The couple have frequently shared photos of their mansion's interior and exterior on their personal and shared social media accounts.
