Police Shelve Investigation into Burglary at Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan's Mansion
Investigation into the break-in at the £3.5million Essex home has reportedly been closed due to a lack of progress.
The investigation into the burglary of television personalities Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan's Essex home has reportedly been shelved by police due to a lack of progress. Masked intruders broke into their mansion on the evening of February 17, 2025, while Keegan was heavily pregnant.
Essex police have reportedly filed the case, with CCTV and forensic evidence failing to identify the suspects, according to The Sun. A spokesperson for Essex police told the publication, "Following a comprehensive investigation into a burglary, this has now been filed. Should any further information be found, further enquiries will be conducted."
Wright and Keegan, both 39, were reportedly left terrified when four masked raiders broke into their £3.5million property. The couple locked themselves in a bedroom after hearing their security alarm and a window smash. It is reported that the four suspects entered the sprawling property for approximately one minute before fleeing empty-handed in a getaway car.
Police were alerted via their "state-of-the-art security system" and arrived at the couple’s mansion within minutes. The gang was reportedly wearing balaclavas and dressed in black. Detectives believe the gang may have been professionals targeting the property after spotting details on social media, with Wright having extensively documented their home renovations on Instagram.
The couple's home account, Wrightyhome, has over 600,000 followers and chronicles their renovation projects. Just weeks after the burglary, the couple welcomed their daughter, Palma.
A source told The Sun that it was a traumatic experience for the couple, who were relieved that neither was injured. "Mark did the sensible thing and stayed with his wife to make sure she was OK and they waited for police to arrive before leaving the room," the source said. "It was a horrible thing to go through, particularly for someone who is heavily pregnant. They are understandably very shaken up by what happened."
The Daily Mail has contacted Essex police and representatives for Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan for comment.
