Police Release Images of Wetsuit and Gear After Unidentified Body Found Off Sandbanks Peninsula
Authorities are seeking information to identify a man in his 50s found deceased off the coast of Poole, Dorset.
Dorset Police have released images of a wetsuit and swimming gear in an effort to identify a man whose body was discovered off the exclusive Sandbanks peninsula. The body was found shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, is described as white, approximately five feet, eight inches tall, of medium to stocky build, with short brown hair. He was found wearing a full wetsuit, black swim leggings, and a navy blue Adidas T-shirt with red writing over the top.
The coastguard and Dorset Police's marine unit recovered the body, which has yet to be identified. Detective Inspector Edmund Murray of Dorset Police stated that while there is currently nothing to suggest the death is suspicious, efforts to identify the deceased have been extensive.
